These are small indulgences, and many of us purchase one of these or something similar quite often. This month is it possible for you to skip one or two of these purchases? We’d like you to redirect the money you would have spent on something not really necessary for something others need. Could you buy a box of crayons (24 count) for children served by the Methodist Midwest Relief Mission in Illinois? Is it possible for you to donate a few dollars to the special Bishop’s Appeal for Rosecrance? Rosecrance is a Methodist affiliated agency based in Rockford with outposts in northern Illinois and a few places in Wisconsin. Rosecrance specializes in substance addiction issues which are destroying the lives of many youth and young adults. Rosecrance has three facilities in McHenry County and is now trying to complete one in Chicago. We’ve received several boxes of crayons, but we’d like to give 60-70 boxes, which is our typical weekly attendance. We’d also like to give Rosecrance $150-$200. Last week we received $75. Thank you!!! If many people give small amounts during the month of May, we can accomplish great things. Give up something which your doctor wants you to cut back on.
