Have you thought about the delicious treats you might bake for February 26th? Have you checked your grocery supplies? Or, perhaps you’re planning to scrimp on calories a few days before the bake sale, so you can indulge in a few purchases. There is an unverified rumor that baked items purchased at church bake sales are “free items” on some diets.
Your baked creations and/or your generous purchasing will support missions in this community. Mission donations are not part of the local church’s budget. Missions are supported by fundraising and donations of individuals. Each delicious item you bake and each delicious item you purchase will benefit individuals in the community. Last year with support of the Mission Team, the congregation of CUMC gave money and collected items to the Sunday School and Youth programs, to seven local ministries and to four international ministries.
Participating in the bake sale on February 26th will benefit missions in the local community.
