The TLS Veterans is a recognized 501(c)(3) charity. Their mission is to provide support to homeless veterans of McHenry County. They would especially like donations of canned meats and canned fish, canned fruits, and items not covered by food stamps (dish soap, paper goods). They provide transitional housing for as many veterans as they can, but there are more veterans who need housing than they have space. They also have veterans who have housing, but insufficient funds for food.
Your non-perishable food and paper goods will be delivered by Tom and Tobey Sroga next week. It’s important to bring your donations by April 30th—this Sunday. The Sroga’s will see that the food is delivered.
No time to shop? No interest in shopping? We’ve got this covered. At the close of worship the Sroga’s will accept cash donations. If you prefer to write a check, then write the check to “Christ United Methodist Church” and be sure to include “TLS-Food Pantry” on the memo line. You’ve got to include TLS-Food Pantry. Tom and Tobey Sroga will contact TLS and find out what they most need. They will purchase more food, if that’s TLS’s desire, or they will see that TLS receives a check.
