The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets on the 2nd Monday of the month at 1:30pm. Our next meeting will be on September 11th. ALL ARE WELCOME!
As you might think we knit and we crochet, but you may not know that we also support each other in various ways. Our ministry provides shawls to parishioners and others who express a need for their “prayed over” comfort. We’ve also recently given 5 shawls to Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Besides our monthly meetings we also recently participated in the Algonquin Art on the Fox, where we offered samples and lessons.
If you’d like to be part of the Prayer Shawl Ministry but are unable to join us during our monthly meetings, we can provide free yarn to select from and always welcome completed shawls to assist in our ministry. Completed shawls should be approximately 24-26″ wide and 60-80″ long. Contact Katy Spooner for more information.
