Mission Team’s emphasis as we come to the close of 2017:
…Christmas gifts for women & children living at Home of the Sparrow – see the Giving Tree in the lobby between now and December 3rd. ALL GIFTS WILL BE DUE DECEMBER 10th (or before).
…Current donations for the PADS wish list include: hand warmers, razors, shaving cream, deodorant, travel-size shampoo/ conditioner/ hand lotion, and washcloths. Donations may be placed in the PADS container in the lobby.
…Please remember the Food Pantry–did you know that the pantry’s needs increase when there is no school because schools do not serve meals during school holidays?
…Cash or check donations (with name of the agency** on the memo line) are ALWAYS welcome and appreciated! (**this year CUMC’s fundraisers have been allocated to the following agencies: Algonquin/LITH Food Pantry, UM Disaster Relief, TLS McHenry County Veterans, McHenry County PADS, Turning Point, and Home of the Sparrow)
