The McHenry Hunger Crop Walk will take place on Sunday, Oct 16. Hunger is one of the greatest injustices facing our world, but it doesn’t have to be this way. Ending hunger is possible, and it is possible in our lifetime. You can help make it happen. By joining the CROP Hunger Walk, you are helping to end hunger one step at a time. Click here to register to walk. When registering, start typing the name of the team, Algonquin CUMC, in the “Find an Existing Team to Join” box, and it will pop up.
This year, the McHenry Hunger Crop Walk will take place on Sunday, Oct 16 which coincides with the UN’s World Food Day. In honor of World Food Day, we ask participants and supporters to bring canned goods to the host church, Cary United Methodist, 500 N. First St., Cary. These donations will be taken to local food pantries: Cary Grove Food Pantry, Algonquin Lake In The Hills Interfaith Food Pantry, Crystal Lake Food Pantry and Grafton Township Food Pantry. Don’t forget to register to walk in the Crop Hunger Walk.
