This year’s Christmas offerings will support McHenry County PADS Extreme Weather Homeless Sheltering Program and Midwest Mission. Last year, PADS served over 220 men, women and children. 7,903 nights of shelter were provided to 151 people including 11 families and 26 children in the Emergency Sleeping Rooms. Extreme Weather Homeless Sheltering Program operates by lodging people in local motels when the Pioneer Center beds get full and the temperature drops to the 20’s.(www.pioneercenter.org) Midwest Mission provides humanitarian relief by distributing disaster supplies, education, health, and micro-business assistance in domestic, international, and local efforts. UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) and UMVIM (United Methodist Volunteers in Mission) are their core mission partners. You can bring the gifts to worship or mail it to the church.
